New Camera +EELS and Submarines @ El Rey 8/12/11
My canon 40d broke so got a Canon g12 until I can afford another dslr. I’ve only had it for three days, but I’m digging it a lot so far. I like that I can take it anywhere and it’s so light compared to my canon 40d. I honestly didn’t think I was going to like it so much.

Crowd
Art and I went to go check out MGMT @ US Open of Surfing. We drank some tilts(First time trying a tilt, the green one is tasty!) and enjoyed being in the crowd for MGMT
We got there late because of the ridiculous amount of traffic on PCH but we managed to get pretty close to the stage(thank you, tilts!). Not close enough for me to get any decent pics though. So instead, I snapped a couple pics...

Seattle. in Two weeks.
I’m stoked. I’ve always wanted to go. Not going to Sasquatch Festival after all, but looking forward to roaming around Seattle. Now all I gotta do is find a hotel.

Sasquatch Music Festival...Awww Yeahhh!!
Since I’m not going to Coachella this year, Sasquatch is the next best thing for me. I’m actually pretty excited. I’ve always wanted to check out Seattle annnnnd The Flaming Lips, Death From Above 1979, Modest Mouse, Death Cab, and Wilco are playing. I wish I could fast forward to May already.

I was pretty stoked to see Deerhoof. Wish I could have stayed for their entire set but Boomer and I were sore from being in the tiny ass photo pit at the echoplex. Our knees were killing us. Never again.

Something post worthy. La Sera & Screaming Females...
I always forget to post on tumblr. gah. I haven’t been to many shows lately, but one of my new year’s resolutions is to attend as many shows as possible! I have a few shows coming up that I get to shoot for Grimy Goods, so I’m pretty stoked for that.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club @ The Glasshouse 9/15

BRMC totally killed it at the Glasshouse. They played 2+ hours. I left around 11 pm, and they were still rockin’ out(they started around 9ish?). I would have stayed until it was over but I had a long day and all I wanted to do was go home.

It was my first time photographing a music festival and my first time in San Francisco. It was an awesome weekend. I never knew the photo pit could be so crazy.
I see a big white zoom lens in my camera bag in the near future. A canon 70 -200 mm, perhaps.

Fitz & the Tantrums @ Detroit Bar 6/12
This was one hell of a show. Listening to the Fitz & the Tantrums is nothing like watching them live. I almost didn’t want the show to end. I’ll be checking them out at Spaceland next week that’s for sure.
